MITT MOTORCYCLES FLAGSHIP

The MITT TT 555, the new flagship of the Spanish brand Jets Marivent, is positioned above the TT 530 thanks to a larger engine that is slightly superior in terms of performance, and especially because of the equipment at the highest level in all sections.

Among others, the attractive single-link swingarm, the instrumentation with a large TFT screen and high-end standard finishes and equipment stand out: reinforced engine and body protection bars, powerful LED auxiliary lights, disconnectable ABS, height-adjustable windshield, single-link rear swivel, inverted fork and 19/17-inch spoke wheels made of anodized aluminum and ready to equip tubeless tires.

TWIN-CYLINDER SPECIFIC FOR A2 USERS

This A2 is equipped with the well-known 471 cc parallel twin cylinder from Loncin, which in turn 'inspired' by the Honda CB500, delivers 47 hp at 8,500 rpm, although perhaps even more interesting is its torque figure, which reaches 45 Nm at 7,000 rpm. Its attractive exhaust with double superimposed outlet and aluminum protector that provides a sporty touch and for the considerable range that its 21-liter fuel tank can provide us with stands out.

DYNAMIC BALANCE

With a steel frame and a single-link aluminum swivel, the cycle part is completed with adjustable suspensions. Both the inverted fork (with wheels for quick adjustment) and the rear shock absorber with progressive system are adaptable in preload. It mounts CST tires in sizes 110/80-19, in the front, and 150/70-17, in the rear. In both cases without a camera thanks to wheels that allow this option.

A NOD TO THE MOST ADVENTUROUS USER

The front discs are lobed and use two-piston radial calipers and ABS. The rear is also lobed, with a piston caliper. It should be noted that the new ABS brake system allows the rear wheel to be disconnected, something that increases off-road efficiency and allows you to consider more enjoyment when leaving the asphalt and doing so with greater confidence.

TILED TO THE CEILING

The Spanish brand MITT wants the TT 555 to be the specific trail bike for the reference A2 license. The 555 TT comes well equipped as standard, with fenders on the sides, on the radiator and on the bottom of the engine. The dome is also adjustable in height and has a USB charging port. The TFT dashboard provides all the necessary information, including Bluetooth connectivity for the phone. Of course, it has Full LED lighting and to complete the standard equipment, it has aluminum crankcase and radiator protectors, spoke rims and mixed CST tires.

ACCESSIBLE AND WELCOMING

Given its rugged nature, it offers a comfortable driving position, since it is spacious for both the pilot and the person accompanied, who has generous side handles to comfortably fix their position. Comfort and long range are two premises that are perfectly suited to be considered one of the most attractive models in the effervescent segment of trail motorcycles specifically designed for the A2 driving license.

WE GOT ON THE SERVIBIKE TRAIL

Trail-style motorcycles are very fashionable and are preferred by the general public. The MITT TT 555 breaks into the segment with a product that stands out for the quality of its cycle part, for its modern design and also for its versatility that has surprised us very pleasantly with its high overall quality as well as its excellent performance and quality/price ratio.

COMMAND POST

Getting on the MITT TT 555 is not a handicap since it is a motorcycle with a low seat height, which prioritizes ease of reaching the ground over comfort, without causing fatigue for the rider. When you turn on the contact, the instrumentation lights up, and you can choose two visualizations -Eco (blue tones) and Sport (orange tones) -, which have an adaptive light sensor. The reading of all the data is intuitive, the handlebar buttons are backlit and there are two power outlets (USB and 12V) next to the dashboard.

MECHANICAL SOLVENCY

The engine, with a bronco sound, offers outstanding thrust and response at any speed. The gearbox offers a soft and precise feel when operating a clutch that, despite lacking assistance and an anti-rebound system, fulfills its purpose well. With 47 hp, don't expect vertigo accelerations or thunder speeds, but it's always cheerful and progressive. It easily reaches the legal maximum limits even with a passenger, with smooth operation and reliability.

MOVING THE WAIST

The behavior of the cycle part is pleasant and predictive. It is not a light bike, 205 kg dry, but when it comes to moving the waist it is agile and easy to get into curves. The suspensions - inverted fork and rear monoshock, both adjustable - offer good balance and absorb irregularities very well but without losing firmness when necessary.

WHEN IT COMES TO ANCHORING

The 298 mm double front disc with axial clamps, supported by the simple rear disc, allows the 555 TT to be stopped with certainty, even in duo and at a fast pace. There will be no problems in that regard. The ABS that assists braking is disconnectable on the rear wheel and also on both wheels. A priority detail on the ground, although not the usual use of this trail, despite having a 19" front wheel and mixed tubeless tires.

CONTROLLABLE WITH GAS

The new MITT stands out for its ease of driving. The low and medium thrust is overwhelming, allowing you to make certain mistakes with a very short gearbox that adapts wonderfully to the type of road predominant in the Islands. It doesn't have traction control, but you really won't miss it. Enjoying curvy areas is one of its best qualities; it's predictable, precise and with powerful, dosed braking equipment, allowing you to get the most out of the 555 TT.

HIS MOST RURAL SIDE

The new MITT is a motorcycle suitable for those who like to ride on any type of road, regardless of their condition, and even enter on dirt tracks. For off-road fans, the TT 555 offers a certain country character. To begin with, it has a 19" front wheel and spoke wheels, as well as fitted with typical CST trail tires as standard. The suspensions offer more than decent travel and ground clearance. All of this translates into remarkable dynamic capabilities for off-road use.

UINA GOOD ALTERNATIVE FOR ADVENTURERS A2

The MITT TT 555 addresses a crucial segment of the market in the Canary Islands with more than solid arguments, even for adventure eaters. It is a very versatile motorcycle suitable for users with little experience in large motorcycles. And the thing is that it stands out above all for its ease of use and for its friendly face under all circumstances. A comfortable motorcycle for everyday use and more than reliable as a companion on weekend getaways, even if the opportunity arises to ride a dirt track.

If you still have questions, stop by the stores in Servibike (Telde and 7 Palmas) and request your test because we guarantee that the new MITT TT 555 it's going to surprise you.
